Yes, we ship internationally. Yarntons sends orders from Auckland, New Zealand to customers all over the world, and we do it all the time. Whatever you've found on this website, from boots to knitwear, we can usually send it to you.
We ship to the United States and Australia regularly, and have sent orders to the United Kingdom and China. If you live somewhere else, just ask.
Can I buy R.M.Williams boots from New Zealand and have them shipped to the United States?
Yes. Tell us the boot, the colour and your size, and where it's going. We check our stock and send you one quote for the boots, the shipping and the US import duty. You pay nothing until you have the quote and you're happy with it.
R.M.Williams doesn't allow any stockist to show prices or sell its boots through an online checkout. So boot orders are arranged directly with us, by email or phone. Yarntons is a genuine R.M.Williams stockist, and a family-owned shop on Auckland's North Shore since 1945.
What does shipping to the United States cost?
For one pair of boots, shipping plus US import duty usually comes to about NZ$200 (roughly US$115), on top of the price of the boots. The exact amount depends on your ZIP code, so we confirm it in your quote before you buy.
That covers two things:
- Shipping from Auckland to your door with NZ Post.
- US import duty. The United States charges duty on every parcel, and it has to be paid before the parcel leaves New Zealand. For R.M.Williams boots the rate is currently 17.5% of the price of the boots. We pay it for you and include it in your quote, so there is nothing more to pay when your boots arrive.
US import rules have changed several times this year. We check the current rate every time we quote.
What does shipping to other countries cost?
- Australia: typically a flat NZ$35 for orders up to 3 kg.
- United Kingdom, Singapore, China and everywhere else: we quote shipping based on your address and the weight of your order.
Outside the United States, your country's customs may charge import duty or local tax when your parcel arrives. Those charges are set by your government and paid by you. We'll tell you what to expect when we quote.

These are NZ Post's standard delivery targets, counted from the day your order leaves us. They are a guide, not a guarantee, and customs checks can add a few days. We aim to send orders within one to two working days, and we email you a tracking number. If you need it sooner, ask us about express delivery.
Can I use my own courier?
Yes. If you have a preferred shipping company or your own courier account, tell us and we'll work with them.
How do I order from overseas?
- Email Luke at luke@yarntons.co.nz or send us a message. Tell us what you'd like, your size and your delivery address.
- We check stock and send you a quote in New Zealand dollars. It shows the item, the shipping and any duty we prepay.
- If you're happy with it, you pay and we send your order. You'll get a tracking number by email.
